Your home records stay yours.
This notice describes Berg Home Ledger, operated by Berg App LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. It supplements the existing Berg App privacy policy for this separate product. It does not change the original policy.
What we collect
We store a random account identifier; hashed access keys and their expiry dates; equipment names, location labels, models, optional warranty dates and notes; maintenance schedules; dates, notes and service-provider names you choose to enter. We derive next-due dates from your completion dates and intervals. We do not ask for an email address, precise address, payment card, photos or documents.
Operation and measurement
Cloudflare processes request metadata to host and protect the service. The application logs random request IDs, operation names, status and timing, without keys or record contents. Rate counters use a daily hash of your network IP and expire after their window plus the next daily cleanup. We keep daily read/write counts per account for up to 90 days to measure activity and retention, and anonymous daily creation/deletion totals for up to 400 days. No advertising pixels or third-party fonts are loaded.
Who processes your data
Cloudflare hosts the service and database and verifies signup through Turnstile. When you connect Muse, Meta processes information returned to Muse under its own terms and privacy notice. We do not send records to another model provider. Support emails are handled through Berg’s existing email provider. We do not sell records or use them for advertising.
Access and retention
Anyone holding a connector key can read or update its account’s records. Keep it private. The separate owner key controls account management. We store active records until you delete the account; repeat-request records expire after 30 days. Keys are stored as hashes. Browser keys remain in page memory, not local storage. There is no email recovery.
Export and deletion
Use Account to download JSON and delete your account. Deletion removes active records and credentials immediately. We retain a minimal deletion journal (random account identifier and deletion date) for up to 30 days to prevent deleted accounts from returning during disaster recovery. Cloudflare D1 disaster-recovery history can retain earlier copies for up to seven days under the current Free plan; a restore must reapply intervening deletions before service is reopened. If you have concerns about access or deletion, email privacy@bergapp.net. Never include keys. Copies you exported or previously shared with Muse are managed separately.
Appropriate use
This service is for adults. Do not enter children’s data, passwords, alarm codes, precise location histories or medical information. Free-form records may include personal data if you choose to supply it. You can minimize this by using simple location labels such as “utility room.”
